General Practitioner - Pediatrics

About the role

The General Practitioner – Pediatrics will deliver high‑quality primary and preventive care to infants, children, and adolescents at Danat Al Emarat Hospital. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the GP will ensure safe, family‑centered services across a range of pediatric conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical examinations for pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic childhood illnesses.
• Provide preventive services such as growth monitoring, developmental assessments, and immunizations.
• Handle minor pediatric emergencies and stabilize patients when needed.
• Educate parents and caregivers on disease prevention, nutrition, and child development.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records.
• Collaborate with pediatric specialists and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Adhere to clinical governance, patient safety, and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited internship program.
• Valid DOH license or eligibility to practice as a General Practitioner.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or Primary Care with pediatric exposure.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families.
