General Technician – Air Conditioning (AC)

About the role

The General Technician – AC is responsible for maintaining and repairing the air‑conditioning and HVAC systems across the InterContinental Fujairah Resort. You will work closely with the Engineering team to ensure guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities remain comfortable and operational.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, cleaning and repairs of AC and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues and troubleshoot faults.
• Repair split, package, fan‑coil (FCU) and air‑handling (AHU) units, including refrigerant level checks, filter changes, coil cleaning and motor/belt adjustments.
• Respond promptly to guest room and public‑area AC requests, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment condition records and repair reports.
• Support fellow technicians with additional maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow safe handling procedures for refrigerants, tools and equipment, adhering to resort SOPs and safety standards.

Required profile

• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration or a related field.
• Proven experience maintaining HVAC systems in a hotel or resort environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
