Geography Teacher

About the role

The English College Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to start in September. You will join a well‑established British‑curriculum school in the heart of Dubai, delivering engaging geography lessons to secondary‑level students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver geography curriculum aligned with the British National Curriculum.
• Prepare and use a variety of teaching resources, field trips and technology to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to promote a cohesive learning environment.
• Participate in pastoral care, extracurricular activities and school community events.

Required profile

• Qualified with a PGCE or Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Geography or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching the British Curriculum.
• Passion for inspiring young people and a commitment to high standards of teaching and student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of geography content and concepts.
• Familiarity with British curriculum requirements and assessment methods.
