Geotechnical Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to supervise road and infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will lead on‑site geotechnical activities, ensure compliance with local specifications, and coordinate closely with contractors and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ground investigations, including boreholes, trial pits, and in‑situ testing.
• Review and comment on contractor submissions such as method statements, ITPs, material submittals, and geotechnical design reports.
• Verify compaction control, engineered fill placement, and ground‑improvement works against RTA specifications.
• Assess geotechnical parameters for MSE retaining walls, cut‑and‑cover underpasses, and pile testing.
• Raise and track NCRs, SORs, and close‑out documentation.
• Monitor progress against the approved program and report quality, safety, or compliance issues.
• Coordinate approvals with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in geotechnical engineering for infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to supervise site activities and manage contractor interactions.
• Strong knowledge of local specifications (RTA General Specification) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
