Geotechnical Engineer – Rail Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our rail infrastructure team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will support the investigation, analysis and design of ground‑related aspects for rail projects, ensuring safe and efficient solutions that meet project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations, including site assessments, soil sampling and interpretation of subsurface conditions.
• Analyse geotechnical data and prepare detailed reports with design recommendations.
• Support foundation design, slope stability analysis and ground improvement solutions.
• Coordinate with structural, civil and project teams to integrate geotechnical inputs.
• Review geotechnical reports, drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor site activities related to geotechnical works and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes and safety regulations.
• Identify risks associated with ground conditions and propose mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation design and geotechnical analysis.
• Experience with geotechnical software and reporting tools is an advantage.
• Rail project experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
