GIS Editor

About the role

The GIS Editor will gather information from multiple sources, interpret data, and provide key insights that influence business decisions. The role combines strategic analysis with hands‑on GIS database creation and maintenance, supporting a variety of sectors such as flood defence, healthcare, traffic management and market research.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse spatial and non‑spatial data from diverse sources.
• Build, maintain and update GIS databases using ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcFM and related tools.
• Develop analytical maps, spreadsheets, graphs, charts and written reports.
• Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot GIS hardware, printers/plotters, GPS devices and other peripherals.
• Provide efficient customer service, communicate findings clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Work onsite at customer locations to produce digital mapping deliverables that meet client specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, IT, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of relevant GIS experience, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and apply initiative within established procedures.
• Basic programming knowledge and strong analytical thinking.
