Graduate Data Scientist – UAE Nationals

About the role

AECOM is looking for a motivated Graduate Data Scientist to join its Quantity Surveying and Cost Management teams in Dubai. The 24‑month graduate program offers structured learning, mentoring and the chance to drive digital innovation in the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with quantity surveyors to embed digital workflows into traditional cost‑management processes.
• Support cost planning, control and value‑engineering activities using digital platforms.
• Maintain and update project databases, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Create information‑rich reports and interactive dashboards with data‑visualisation tools.
• Collect, organise and analyse project data to generate actionable cost‑management insights.
• Develop and maintain digital templates, automated scripts and workflow tools to improve efficiency.
• Provide training and technical support to team members on new digital tools and processes.

Required profile

• UAE national holding a family book, eligible for NAFIS and GPSSA contributions.
• Recent graduate with a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong interest in applying digital technologies to construction and cost‑management challenges.
• Excellent analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data‑visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience in database management and SQL‑based querying.
• Ability to develop automation scripts and digital workflow templates.
