Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead financial control, reporting, and tax compliance for a multi‑entity trading group operating across more than 25 jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the CFO/CEO and Board, you will ensure accurate financial statements, robust cash management, and adherence to UAE regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for all entities and prepare consolidated IFRS financial statements.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring and treasury operations.
• Deliver management reporting packs with clear commentary to senior leadership.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead UAE corporate tax compliance, VAT registration, returns, reconciliations and respond to FTA enquiries and audits.
• Advise on transfer pricing, cross‑border transactions and tax‑efficient structuring.
• Design and maintain internal controls, coordinate the annual external audit and ensure compliance with DFSA/ADGM regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement of ERP and financial systems and support investor reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience, at least 5 years in a senior control role.
• Proven background in a trading company with multi‑entity or cross‑border exposure.
• Deep hands‑on expertise in VAT, UAE corporate tax and IFRS reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication and commercial mindset.
• Fluent English; professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA required.
