Group Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Group Senior Legal Counsel provides strategic legal guidance to protect the company’s interests and ensure compliance with all applicable laws. Working closely with the Chief Legal Officer and senior management, this role leads complex legal matters across corporate, commercial and regulatory domains.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contracts and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, safeguarding the company’s interests.
• Monitor legal developments and advise on potential business impacts.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution, coordinating with external counsel and overseeing mediation, arbitration or court proceedings.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, establishing effective policies and procedures.
• Support corporate governance activities, including board resolutions, minutes and legal reporting.
• Mentor junior legal staff and promote a high‑performance team culture.
• Develop legal templates and deliver training on contract management, compliance and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and a Master’s degree (LLM) preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in a multinational environment or leading law firm.
