Group Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Group Tax Manager to lead tax reporting and compliance for the Crescent Group across multiple jurisdictions, including the UAE and Iraq. The role will shape tax strategy, oversee returns, and ensure optimal tax positioning for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax reporting and compliance in all jurisdictions, managing corporate tax, withholding tax and VAT.
• Develop and implement tax strategies, prepare returns and advise business units on tax‑efficient structures.
• Manage tax audits, assessments and monthly payments, coordinating with accounting, finance and legal teams.
• Maintain transfer pricing documentation, support legal entity consolidations, acquisitions and restructurings.
• Ensure accurate accounting of current and deferred taxes in ERP systems and coordinate group tax reporting with authorities and auditors.
• Review VAT records, file returns on time and respond to authority queries.
• Update tax policies, monitor legislative changes and implement risk mitigation controls.
• Report to the Senior Director of Accounting & Reporting and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of taxation experience, preferably in the UAE/Iraq region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certification (CA or ACCA).
• Strong knowledge of UAE ESR, VAT, Corporate Tax and IFRS.
