Head of Compliance & Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About the role

Lorum is seeking a senior Head of Compliance & MLRO for its Dubai‑based regulated entity. The role leads the compliance and financial‑crime framework, ensuring alignment with both local regulatory requirements and the broader Lorum Group governance model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the compliance and AML framework for the Dubai entity, keeping policies, procedures and controls effective.
• Act as the senior compliance lead and Money Laundering Reporting Officer, obtaining any required regulatory approvals.
• Embed the Dubai compliance framework within the wider Group governance, aligning with group policies and standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with regulators on compliance, AML and supervisory matters.
• Provide compliance and financial‑crime input to new products, business initiatives and jurisdictional expansions.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level experience in compliance and AML roles within a regulated financial‑services business.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai regulatory expectations, including AML, sanctions and governance.
• Proven ability to work across local and group structures, embedding local compliance into group‑wide frameworks.
• Excellent judgment, communication skills and confidence to engage directly with regulators and senior leadership.
