Head of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances

About the role

Etihad is expanding its global network and seeks a senior leader to shape its airline partnership strategy. As Head of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances, you will define, negotiate and implement transformative agreements that broaden reach, strengthen the network and deliver sustainable commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Etihad's strategic airline partnership agenda aligned with commercial objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and secure new partnership models such as joint ventures, codeshares, interline agreements and capacity arrangements.
• Deepen existing relationships and expand them into strategic collaborations.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and obtain internal approvals for major investments.
• Build robust business cases and present recommendations to executive and Board-level stakeholders.
• Implement governance frameworks to ensure partnerships meet agreed commercial outcomes.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration across Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Cargo, Operations, Finance and Legal.
• Monitor, evaluate and optimise partnership performance using commercial and profitability metrics.

Required profile

• Proven aviation leader with a track record of developing and managing strategic airline partnerships.
• Deep expertise in airline alliances combined with broader commercial experience.
• Ability to create value across an airline’s commercial operation through partnership initiatives.
