Head Sommelier – Beachfront LPM Opening

About the role

La Petite Maison is launching a new beachfront restaurant in Dubai, inspired by the French Riviera. As Head Sommelier you will shape the wine experience, creating a curated list that reflects the brand’s elegant yet relaxed vibe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously evolve a wine list that complements the menu and embodies the LPM Riviera spirit.
• Provide warm, personalized wine recommendations and pairings to guests.
• Lead, train and mentor the sommelier team and educate the wider floor staff.
• Oversee cellar operations, inventory, ordering and stock management.
• Taste, approve and ensure proper storage of all wines before service.
• Drive premium wine sales while maintaining a hospitality‑first approach.
• Organise wine tastings, dinner events and special wine‑focused experiences.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in luxury hospitality, with 3–5 years in a senior wine role.
• Formal wine certification such as WSET or equivalent.
• Passion for sharing wine knowledge in an approachable manner.
• Strong background in list building, cellar and inventory management.
• Leadership qualities with a natural teaching style.
• Familiarity with French and Mediterranean wine regions is a plus.
