Hostess – Thai Restaurant

About the role

Join the vibrant dining team at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai as a Hostess for the Thai restaurant. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience in a world‑class 5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, seat them, pull chairs, place menus and guide them through the dining area.
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure each place setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and any other required items.
• Check menus for cleanliness, currentness and proper presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practising clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Monitor the dining room for seating availability, service quality, safety and guest well‑being.
• Follow all safety and security policies, report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets and confidential information.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, use clear professional language and answer telephones with proper etiquette.
• Support team goals, develop positive working relationships and respond to colleagues’ concerns.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific licence or certification required.
