Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club and, where applicable, laundry services at a hotel in Dubai Marina. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet the property’s standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Verify guest‑room status and communicate updates to the Front Desk efficiently.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and public spaces.
• Prepare work assignments based on immediate cleaning needs and upcoming check‑outs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, ensuring adequate stock for operations.
• Supervise an effective inspection program for all areas.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Ensure all staff have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Schedule staff according to business demand, track attendance, and enforce property policies consistently.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and employee recognition.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience.
• OR a 2‑year degree from an accredited university in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
