Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the daily cleaning operations across guest rooms and public areas at the luxury SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, ensuring high standards of presentation and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the role coordinates room attendants, porters and liaises with maintenance and reception.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate work assignments to Room Attendants and Porters to maximise coverage.
• Monitor room status via the computer system and log rooms that are Do Not Disturb, out‑of‑order or double‑locked.
• Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, soft‑furnishings standards and VIP requirements.
• Control issuance and recording of keys, bleeps and other departmental equipment.
• Ensure adequate linen, cleaning supplies and guest amenities are stocked on each floor.
• Oversee deep‑cleaning programmes, replacement schedules and green initiatives to reduce waste.
• Liaise with Maintenance and Reception on out‑of‑order rooms and maintenance defects.
• Handle guest requests, queries and complaints promptly, escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience as a Housekeeping Attendant in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• One to two years in a public‑contact role, preferably within an upscale or lifestyle brand.
• Proficient in using computers and point‑of‑sale systems for work‑related tasks.
• Friendly, gracious demeanor with strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, maintain attention to detail and work both independently and as part of a team.
