HSE Officer – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives on NMDC and ADNOC‑approved projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves implementing HSE policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture on site.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures and project‑specific requirements.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Ensure compliance with ADOSH‑SF, ADNOC HSE standards and UAE legislation.
• Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Method Statements, JSA and Permit‑to‑Work documents.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, safety briefings and awareness training.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near‑misses and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor subcontractors and site personnel for HSE compliance.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports and incident documentation.
• Participate in HSE audits, emergency drills and client/authority inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of UAE HSE experience in construction, marine, infrastructure or oil & gas.
• Proven NMDC project experience and ADNOC approval.
• Valid ADOSH‑SF / OSHAD certification.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification; IOSH / ISO 45001 a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and client requirements.
• Valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle.
• Good communication, reporting and coordination skills.
• Currently available in the UAE preferred.
