HSE Officer

About the role

Worley is seeking an HSE Officer to lead health, safety, environment and quality (HSSEQ) initiatives on a major EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe delivery, compliance with HSSE standards, and promotes a strong safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
• Provide overall HSSE guidance to the project and ensure the HSSE Management System is integrated into project execution.
• Monitor EPC Contractor performance to meet HSSE objectives and maintain qualified HSSE personnel.
• Champion project safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve HSSE issues during the EPC phase.
• Coordinate with PMC construction engineers on HSSE‑related tasks during construction.
• Ensure HSSE procedures are established, maintained and implemented by the EPC Contractor.
• Witness HSSE audits conducted by the EPC Contractor and report non‑conformities.
• Support PMC management in investigating HSSE concerns and communicate findings.
• Provide regular feedback, lessons learned and monitor contractor performance on HSSE matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in safety or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Implementation of HSSE Management Systems.
• Conducting HSSE audits and managing non‑conformities.
• Coordination with EPC contractors and PMC teams on HSSE matters.
