HSE Officer

About the role

James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Officer to join its HSE team and support the implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements across construction projects. The role monitors site HSE activities, conducts inspections and safety briefings, supports incident investigations, and ensures compliance with established HSE standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor HSE activities across assigned project sites.
• Prepare and deliver project HSE inductions and daily safety briefings.
• Conduct daily site HSE inspections, identify unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review HSE documentation such as Method Statements, work permits, and safety equipment requirements for compliance.
• Investigate accidents and near‑misses, recommend corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.

Required profile

• Diploma in Health & Safety with a minimum of 5 years construction experience (Data Centre & MEP experience desirable).
• NEBOSH IGC 1, 2 & 3 certification.
• Qualified First Aider and Qualified Scaffolding Inspector.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
