HSE Specialist (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The HSE Specialist will ensure a safe workplace environment in Abu Dhabi, aligning with EDGE Group’s health and safety policies. The role involves continuous monitoring, documentation, and improvement of occupational safety and health practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Circulate OSHE materials, including policies, SOPs, training notifications, and safety information to relevant departments.
• Document, investigate, and implement corrective actions for all accidents and incidents.
• Conduct and review risk assessments for equipment and operations.
• Inspect the workplace periodically to identify hazards and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate health and safety training records.
• Implement a documented program of inspections, audits, and checks, including monthly checks of fire extinguishers, hose cabinets, and first‑aid kits.
• Accompany external regulatory agencies during inspections and follow up on any identified deficiencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational safety and health management.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and OSHE procedures.
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections and risk assessments.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation.
