HVAC Technician – Installation & Maintenance

About the role

The HVAC Technician will ensure the optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems across commercial and retail properties. You will work on installation, preventive maintenance and repair tasks while adhering to technical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install decorative split units and window air‑conditioners.
• Maintain Direct Expansion (DX) systems, Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHU), Air Handling Units (AHU) and Fan Coil Units (FCU).
• Inspect existing HVAC installations for effectiveness and safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
• Conduct performance tests using specialized HVAC tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty HVAC components.
• Maintain accurate records of service appointments, invoices and inventory.
• Promote and sell ongoing maintenance contracts to customers.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in HVAC installation and servicing.
• Strong knowledge of split units, VRF systems, air handlers and ventilation equipment.
• Ability to read technical blueprints, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Familiarity with related electrical and plumbing systems.

Required skills

• Installation of split units and window AC.
• Maintenance of DX, FAHU, AHU and FCU systems.
• Performance testing with HVAC diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment.
• Reading technical blueprints, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
• Electrical and plumbing knowledge applicable to HVAC installations.
