HVAC Technician

About the role

The HVAC Technician will join Marriott International’s facilities team at the Palm Dubai location, providing prompt maintenance and repair services to guests and hotel equipment. The role focuses on ensuring comfort, safety, and operational efficiency across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions effectively.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of kitchen, mechanical room, and HVAC equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, machines and identify shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches, outlets and program televisions.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform basic landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment and energy conservation.
• Ability to work safely following company policies, report hazards and complete required safety training.
• Minimum of 1 month of relevant experience (junior level).
