HVAC Technician

About the role

The HVAC Technician will ensure reliable operation, maintenance and compliance of heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems within Julphar’s pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The role supports a controlled environment that meets strict cGMP and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot AHUs, FCUs, MAUs, exhaust systems, chillers, cooling towers and dehumidifiers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to SOPs and maintenance plans.
• Monitor temperature, humidity and pressure differentials to satisfy GMP and URS requirements.
• Respond promptly to HVAC alarms and breakdowns.
• Use the Building Management System (Siemens Desigo CC, Honeywell, Schneider or equivalent) to acknowledge alarms, review trends and support point‑to‑point and loop checks.
• Coordinate with BMS engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
• Support HVAC qualification, re‑qualification and documentation activities, maintaining logbooks, checklists, deviations and change controls in line with ALCOA+ principles.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or clean‑room HVAC environments.
• Hands‑on experience with BMS monitoring and control.

Required skills

• HVAC systems operation and maintenance.
• Air Handling Units (AHU), Fan Coil Units (FCU), Make‑up Air Units (MAU).
• Exhaust systems, chillers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers.
• Building Management System (BMS) – Siemens Desigo CC, Honeywell, Schneider.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
• cGMP, WHO, EU GMP and FDA compliance knowledge.
• ALCOA+ data integrity practices.
