HVDC Tender Technical Manager

About the role

The Tender Engineering Manager leads technical coordination for HVDC tender phases on large, complex projects, often involving offshore platforms. Acting as the primary technical bid leader, the role ensures all technical deliverables meet customer requirements, deadlines, and budget constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate global tender engineering activities, ensuring schedules, quality standards, and engineering processes are followed.
• Serve as the main technical contact for the customer, developing optimal HVDC solutions that are safe, reliable, cost‑effective, and easy to install.
• Estimate engineering budgets and define execution design strategies in collaboration with regional technical and engineering leaders.
• Manage technical risks and opportunities throughout the tender lifecycle, delivering required documentation on time.
• Oversee hand‑over from tender to execution phase (Order to Remittance) and align functional engineering leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with HVDC systems, FACTS, and grid‑solution integration.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 20 % of the time.
