Information Security Expert

About the role

The Information Security Expert will lead the development and management of the information security function, ensuring alignment with UAE Information Assurance Standards and Abu Dhabi Government regulations. This senior position reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and works closely with the Information Security Committee and Risk Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve enterprise‑wide information security policies, plans, and procedures.
• Monitor policy compliance and act on directives from the Information Security Committee.
• Assess existing systems, respond to internet‑wide threats, and safeguard EAD’s information assets.
• Plan and coordinate risk assessments and oversee risk mitigation activities with the Risk Manager.
• Communicate and escalate security matters to the Chief Information Security Officer.
• Prepare and monitor service continuity policies and disaster recovery plans.
• Deliver security awareness, training, and communications across the organization.
• Ensure all contracts include appropriate information security clauses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field.
• 8–15 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi government security standards.
• Proven ability to lead security initiatives and manage cross‑functional teams.
