Infrastructure Draftsman – Water Projects

About the role

The Infrastructure Draftsman will create and maintain detailed civil engineering drawings for water‑related projects, supporting the design and construction of sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation and road infrastructure across Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Produce drawings for sewerage, stormwater, drainage, irrigation and road infrastructure projects.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineers' comments and project requirements.
• Prepare as‑built drawings from site survey data and construction records.
• Review and interpret existing utility and infrastructure records.
• Coordinate with engineers, designers and other stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy and timely delivery.
• Maintain drawing standards and documentation in line with company and client requirements.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications and other engineering software to support project documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering, Drafting or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Civil Draftsman, including 3–5 years in the UAE.
• Previous experience with an engineering consultancy.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the latest versions of MicroStation.
• Proficiency with the latest versions of AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
