Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Infrastructure Engineer manages and coordinates all utility and civil works throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through construction and handover. The role involves supervising earthworks, roads, drainage, water and irrigation systems, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with planning to ensure timely start and finish of all activities.
• Supervise earthworks, roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, utility ducts and related civil works.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection and test plans for compliance.
• Monitor progress, resources, sequencing and report delays, constraints and risks.
• Identify defects, issue field observations and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate contractors, inspectors, surveyors, authorities and utility providers on clashes, diversions and tie‑ins.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in infrastructure or civil works coordination.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and approval procedures (DM, RTA, DEWA, etc.).
