In‑house Energy Lawyer – Oil & Gas (Mid‑Senior)

About the role

We are partnering with leading organisations across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa that are expanding their in‑house legal teams. As an experienced energy lawyer you will join a high‑performing legal department working on complex oil & gas, energy and infrastructure transactions that shape regional markets.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of oil and gas, energy and infrastructure transactions.
• Support complex joint ventures and strategic partnerships involving major international energy companies and stakeholders.
• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial, engineering, construction and operational agreements.
• Partner closely with senior business leaders to provide commercially focused legal advice.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks across major projects and investments.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of projects critical to business growth and long‑term strategy.

Required profile

• Qualification in a common‑law jurisdiction.
• Approximately 5‑15 years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in leading international law firms or multinational corporate environments.
• Strong expertise advising on complex oil and gas, energy or infrastructure transactions.
• Proven ability to navigate sophisticated commercial arrangements involving NOCs, IOCs, EPC contractors, service providers or government‑related entities.
• Commercial awareness, strong stakeholder‑management skills and confidence to operate in fast‑paced, high‑profile environments.
