Insurance Manager

About the role

The Insurance Manager will lead the development and optimisation of DAMAC Properties' insurance strategy across all jurisdictions. This senior position coordinates insurance programmes for the UAE, OpCo, and international operations, requiring strong industry relationships and experience in asset‑heavy sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage comprehensive insurance programmes covering property, liability, business interruption and specialty lines.
• Leverage industry relationships to negotiate favourable terms and premiums with brokers, carriers and underwriters.
• Conduct risk assessments for existing and new assets, projects and operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to mitigate risks.
• Oversee the full claims process, ensuring timely filing, negotiation and resolution while acting as the primary contact for carriers and adjusters.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual insurance requirements and prepare reports for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with finance, legal and operations teams to maintain robust insurance coverage and risk management.

Required profile

• Extensive industry relations and experience in asset‑heavy industries; data‑center experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field; professional certifications such as CPCU, ARM or CIC are preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of insurance management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements and policy development.
