Intervention Engineer – Well Intervention

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Intervention Engineer to join Baker Hughes in Dubai. You will support the development of well‑intervention concepts aimed at restoring production, improving injectivity, managing integrity, or preparing wells for safe abandonment.

Key responsibilities

• Define intervention scopes for production restoration, injectivity improvement, integrity management, recompletion, stimulation, clean‑out and abandonment.
• Review well histories, completion diagrams, production trends and integrity records to identify constraints and opportunities.
• Compile execution assumptions covering rig or rig‑less access, downhole tools, intervention sequences, logistics, HSE exposure and cost drivers.
• Document technical and operational risks for proposal development.
• Coordinate with production, reservoir, subsea and facilities specialists to ensure coherent and commercially viable concepts.

Required profile

• BSc in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in well interventions, completions, production operations or well integrity.
• Strong ability to interpret well files and produce concise intervention inputs for multidisciplinary proposals.
