Islamic Studies Teacher (AY 25-26)

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Islamic Studies Teacher for the academic year 2025‑2026. You will deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their best outcomes while contributing to a collaborative school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present Islamic Studies lessons that cater to the full ability range and align with the curriculum.
• Organise classroom resources, create displays and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess and record student progress using Target Tracker and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external professionals such as speech therapists.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, supporting student wellbeing and academic success.
• Implement the school’s behaviour policy, manage classroom dynamics and act as a positive role model.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events, outings and weekly extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1‑2 years of teaching experience, preferably with English‑as‑an‑additional‑language learners.
• Passion for teaching the whole child, high professionalism and a clean DBS/police check.
• Commitment to teamwork, effective communication and respect for a diverse school community.
