IT Field Engineer – Onsite Support (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The IT Field Engineer will deliver on‑site technical support to end users at educational institutions across the UAE. You will ensure hardware and software environments run smoothly, providing timely assistance and maintaining high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day on‑site support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, telecom and network systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, documenting resolutions.
• Install, configure and update end‑user desktop and laptop software.
• Communicate progress to the Service Desk and end users until resolution is confirmed.
• Meet SLA targets, prioritize incidents, and handle critical incidents efficiently.
• Take initiative to respond to and follow up on customer service issues.

Required profile

• BSc degree in a technical field related to Information Technology.
• Minimum three years of experience in operating system support and end‑user device troubleshooting.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• UAE driving licence and own transport are essential.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with Office 365 (all applications, admin exposure preferred).
• Proficiency with an ITSM tool (e.g., Remedy, ManageEngine, ServiceDesk, Ivanti).
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Familiarity with telecom systems.
