IT Pillar Specialist – Hexagon S3D Administrator

About the role

The IT Pillar Specialist will act as the Hexagon S3D Administrator, providing day‑to‑day support for S3D projects and ensuring smooth project setup and delivery. The role involves configuring the environment, creating catalogs, and troubleshooting designer issues to maintain high‑quality engineering outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and administer Hexagon S3D projects, including database restoration, permission groups, and system hierarchy.
• Create and customize S3D catalogs for piping, equipment, electrical, instrumentation, and structures.
• Develop isometric labels, view styles, and reports using COM, VB.Net, or C#.
• Configure GWC, interference rules, naming conventions, filters, and surface style rules.
• Generate review files for SPR and Navisworks.
• Troubleshoot designer issues and define best‑practice modelling procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5–15 years of experience in S3D administration.
• Strong understanding of engineering practices and project execution.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Hexagon S3D administration.
• AVEVA Engineering and AVEVA Net/AIM (advantageous).
• VB.Net and C# programming for custom commands and report creation.
• COM interface usage.
• SQL and Oracle database management.
• GWC configuration and interference rule setup.
• Navisworks review file creation.
