Junior Accountant

About the role

Terracotta is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day‑to‑day finance operations in its Abu Dhabi office. The role is ideal for candidates with solid accounting fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily accounting activities and financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Help prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations.
• Support month‑end closing activities and verify data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and documentation.
• Assist with VAT‑related documentation and other finance operations as needed.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team and maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
• Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
