Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will support Savills' Finance team in daily accounting and financial operations. This entry‑level position involves handling accounts payable, performing reconciliations, assisting with month‑end close, and contributing to financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end Accounts Payable, including invoice verification, coding, posting, and payment preparation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records such as invoices, receipts, journals, and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve invoice queries, and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including routine journal entries, accruals, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support fixed‑asset accounting, maintain asset registers, and record depreciation entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded before month‑end.
• Help prepare financial reports, analysis, and ad‑hoc accounting tasks as required.
• Assist the Finance team with budgeting and forecasting activities.
