Junior Buyer

About the role

Styli Marketplace is seeking a passionate Junior Buyer to own the Babywear category for newborn and infant segments, covering both boys and girls. You will build trend‑right, commercially viable assortments that meet GCC customer preferences while achieving sales, margin, and inventory targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage seasonal assortments for newborn and infant babywear, ensuring age‑appropriate, trend‑driven, and commercially relevant products.
• Partner with the Planning team to review OTB budgets and create balanced assortments aligned with business objectives.
• Analyse historical sales, customer insights, and market trends to inform buying decisions and optimise inventory.
• Produce seasonal trend presentations based on global trends, competitor benchmarking, and market research.
• Conduct competitor and market visits to identify emerging trends, pricing strategies, and product opportunities.
• Collaborate with Design teams to create cohesive seasonal collections, including range plans, colour palettes, fabrics, trims, and price architecture.
• Ensure all babywear products meet quality, safety, and comfort standards and prepare detailed product briefs and tech packs for sourcing.
• Work cross‑functionally with planning, merchandising, and logistics to execute collections within fast‑paced timelines.

Required profile

• Strong product knowledge of babywear and an understanding of customer needs in the newborn and infant market.
• Commercially driven mindset with the ability to balance trend relevance and profitability.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with design, planning, and sourcing teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance standards.
