Junior Site Engineer – Construction

About the role

Group AMANA is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to support the Project Engineer in delivering industrial construction projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating site activities, managing resources, and ensuring clear communication of drawings and specifications to the supervisory team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Engineer in supervising daily site operations and ensuring compliance with specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the Electrical Manager, Project Manager and Superintendent/Foreman to allocate manpower, material and equipment efficiently.
• Prepare and submit site documentation (material delivery notes, labor cards, daily activity reports) within 48 hours.
• Order required materials and equipment and monitor their usage to minimise waste.
• Enforce safety rules on site and communicate them to all workers.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, attendance and productivity, and report progress to planning.
• Help develop look‑ahead schedules and translate them into daily work plans for site supervisors.
• Maintain a digital photo database of site progress and provide information for weekly and monthly reports.
• Conduct daily coordination meetings with site supervisors to organise the work scope.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or 0‑2 years of experience in civil or electrical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for documentation and reporting.
• Good communication skills to liaise with engineers, managers and subcontractors.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards on construction sites.
