Junior Technical Engineer – Building Management Systems

About the role

As a Junior Technical Engineer you will support the installation, testing and commissioning of Building Management System (BMS) solutions for landmark projects across the UAE. Working under senior engineers, you will help integrate HVAC controls, field devices and third‑party systems to deliver smart, efficient buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing, testing and commissioning BMS hardware and software, including HVAC control and electrical monitoring integration.
• Support programming and configuration of BMS controllers, sensors and supervisory software (graphics, alarms, trends, reports).
• Prepare shop drawings, control schematics, Interface Control Documents, wiring diagrams/as‑built drawings and system architecture layouts.
• Participate in troubleshooting and fault rectification to ensure system reliability.
• Compile commissioning reports, testing records and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers during execution.
• Follow company HSE, quality and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, Johnson Controls or Tridium Niagara.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus TCP/IP, MSTP, IP, KNX, LonWorks, OPC).
• Basic networking concepts and IP communication.
