Kitchen Supervisor

About the role

Ounass is looking for a detail‑oriented Kitchen Supervisor to manage the back‑of‑house operations of the café inside its luxury retail store. The role ensures food quality, hygiene, and a seamless guest experience while leading a small kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all menu items to brand and recipe standards.
• Support menu updates, special activations, and new item roll‑outs.
• Supervise daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistency in preparation, taste, and presentation.
• Lead by example, providing calm and professional guidance in a high‑expectation environment.
• Assist with onboarding, scheduling, and performance feedback for kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and HACCP compliance.
• Manage ordering, inventory control, and stock levels.
• Monitor waste, portion control, and cost efficiency.
• Liaise with suppliers, reporting quality or delivery issues.
• Ensure equipment functionality, report maintenance needs, and coordinate repairs.
• Plan daily/weekly prep based on forecasted covers and menu mix.
• Communicate allergen procedures to front‑of‑house staff.
• Escalate food safety, quality, or staffing concerns to the Café Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, hotel management or related field.
• Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and strong quality‑control mindset.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Calm, solution‑oriented approach in fast‑paced environments.
• Professional demeanor aligned with luxury brand standards.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
