About the role
Hostmind, a fast‑growing Dubai‑based cloud kitchen group, is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to oversee daily operations across its multiple restaurant brands. This senior culinary position combines hands‑on cooking with strategic leadership to ensure quality, efficiency, and profitability in a delivery‑first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate kitchen staff across all brand stations.
- Maintain smooth production workflows, shift handovers, and kitchen readiness.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards for every dish.
- Step onto the line during peak periods or staff shortages.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal updates, and new brand launches.
- Oversee recipe standardisation, portion control, and plating consistency.
- Conduct recipe costing, yield analysis, and support menu engineering decisions.
- Monitor food cost percentages, reduce waste, and contribute to P&L performance.
- Manage inventory control, stock rotation, and coordinate procurement.
- Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff, conducting performance reviews.
- Enforce HACCP, food safety, and Dubai Municipality regulations.
- Utilise POS and ERP systems (SUPY or similar) for order management and reporting.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry with senior leadership exposure.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Team Leader, Head Chef, or multi‑unit culinary leader.
- Strong background in Oriental (Arabic) and International cuisine.
- Expertise in recipe costing and menu engineering.
