Kitchen Technician – Engineering & Facilities

About the role

The Kitchen Technician supports Marriott’s hotel operations by responding to guest repair requests and maintaining all kitchen‑related equipment and building systems. Working with minimal supervision, you will ensure that preventive maintenance, safety standards, and service quality are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools and equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, machinery, and kitchen assets for wear or damage.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment as needed.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Document daily activities and hand over shift information using approved communication tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and HVAC diagrams.
• Execute complex repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot and replace pumps, motors, and other kitchen equipment components.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of hands‑on experience in building or hotel maintenance.
• Ability to read standard blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safety procedures, including Lockout‑Tagout.
• Capability to work independently with little supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and shift teams.
