Kitchen Technician

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Kitchen Technician to join our team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. You will be the backbone of kitchen operations, ensuring all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently while supporting a safe and productive food‑service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and preventive inspections on all kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues with precision.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests to minimise downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status for compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with kitchen staff to minimise impact on daily operations.
• Monitor and maintain critical systems such as refrigeration units, ventilation, and food‑service equipment.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new kitchen equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in kitchen equipment or building maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
• Relevant certifications (HVAC, electrical, appliance repair) preferred.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Physical capability to perform manual work, including lifting and bending.
