Kubernetes Administrator

About the role

MAGNOOS Information Systems is looking for an experienced Kubernetes Administrator to join its platform support team in Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining and optimizing container‑based infrastructure for a key client, combining hands‑on technical work with client‑facing communication.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve platform incidents to ensure stability and performance.
• Raise, track, and manage tickets for service requests and issues.
• Interact with client teams, provide updates, and ensure timely resolution.
• Build, maintain, and publish Docker images; manage Docker Quay registry.
• Configure and manage Kubernetes components: network policies, ingress/egress, secrets, ConfigMaps, and Helm chart deployments.
• Set up Python virtual environments for workload execution.
• Administer big‑data tools such as Spark, Airflow, Hive, and HDFS, including queue‑limit management.
• Handle DNS entries, proxy settings, and environment variables.
• Manage SSL certificates, Postgres permissions, and S3‑compatible object storage (e.g., Dell ECS).
• Support GitLab CI/CD pipelines and overall system daemon health.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, proxies, and ingress/egress policies.
• Hands‑on experience with big‑data ecosystems and workload management.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, especially GitLab.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and client communication skills.
