Landscape Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Engineer to join its team in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves delivering design, construction supervision, and field engineering for large‑scale landscape and irrigation projects while ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field engineering assignments using basic engineering techniques and analysis.
• Coordinate design and resolve site‑related issues for hard and soft landscaping.
• Develop proposals in line with client requirements and liaise with designers.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, submittals, and technical proposals for compliance with contract documents.
• Conduct pre‑qualification of contractors/sub‑contractors and provide recommendations.
• Inspect sites to verify that works meet contractual and quality standards.
• Select and source plants/trees, ensuring suitability for regional conditions.
• Apply irrigation standards and design appropriate systems for various plantation types.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in design and construction supervision of landscape and irrigation projects, preferably in the UAE.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale projects and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of local and international authority standards, health, safety, environmental and sustainability requirements.
