Lead Architect – Dubai Studio

About the role

ATI is seeking a Lead Architect to join its Dubai studio on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for delivering large, complex projects while coordinating closely with clients, authorities, and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a design team from concept through project completion.
• Integrate client, authority and design team requirements into project development.
• Interpret client briefs, including scope, space, budget and schedule constraints.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery of accurate, high‑quality documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and design teams to secure stage approvals.
• Prepare proposals that meet client needs, local codes and emerging best practices.
• Produce project documentation for clients, authorities and contractors (drawings, calculations, schedules, specifications).
• Conduct site visits during construction to monitor progress, answer queries and verify milestone completion.
• Evaluate design outcomes and incorporate feedback for future projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; postgraduate degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in a high‑profile design consultancy, delivering medium to large‑scale projects such as high‑rise mixed‑use, residential, commercial, hotel and education buildings.
• 5+ years of relevant consultancy experience in the UAE.
• Accreditation from an international body (e.g., AIA, RIBA) is preferred.
• LEED AP or USGBC Guiding Principles certification is a plus.
• Fluent oral and written English with strong analytical and listening skills.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 and AutoCAD.
• Sound understanding of UAE and international (UK/US) building codes and standards.
• Current knowledge of construction materials, supply chains and methods.
