Lead B1 Certifying Engineer (Jakarta Recruitment Event)

About the role

The Lead B1 Certifying Engineer will head a team of B1 engineers responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, repair and certification of airline and third‑party aircraft. This role is linked to an invitation‑only recruitment event in Jakarta, Indonesia, scheduled for the first week of September 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and monitor maintenance tasks for B1 Engineers and Lead Technicians to ensure timely completion in line with airline and regulatory standards.
• Verify that work performed by Certifying Engineers meets required quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support and feedback to the maintenance team.
• Escalate issues, suggest corrective actions and report performance to the Shift Manager.
• Initiate cost‑saving projects within the B1 scope and manage human‑factors aspects of shift operations.
• Develop the skills of B1 technicians and engineers, and orient new joiners.

Required profile

• Valid B1 Certifying Engineer and Category C authorisation.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in an airline or aviation environment.
• Strong understanding of airline and civil aviation regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage performance, mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.
