Lead Commissioning Engineer – Electrical

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer to drive the electrical commissioning activities for our oil‑and‑gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will oversee the execution of SAT, energisation and functional testing, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all electrical commissioning tasks in line with project schedules.
• Lead a team of technicians, providing technical guidance and resolving issues on equipment.
• Manage SAT, energisation and functional testing, and ensure all test documentation is complete.
• Interface with QA/QC, client representatives and other disciplines to guarantee integration and compliance.
• Analyse technical problems, initiate corrective actions and report to management.
• Coordinate vendor activities, temporary supplies and commissioning spares.
• Support audit processes and maintain HSE compliance throughout commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 4 years in a senior commissioning role.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex commissioning programmes.
