Lead Construction Engineer

About the role

The Lead Construction Engineer will provide construction support for projects, ensuring all work follows client fabrication and installation specifications. This role coordinates closely with the client to confirm construction methods are fit for purpose and supports Project Engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the client to clarify construction and work methods.
• Support Project Engineers in understanding construction processes across all project phases.
• Review design packages early to eliminate re‑work and optimise construction.
• Chair constructability reviews and act as the primary interface for fabrication and construction queries.
• Ensure work is performed per plans and specifications, expediting review comments on documents and drawings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with client procurement and construction groups.
• Prepare workpacks, including testing requirements and specialist equipment identification.
• Promote cost‑reduction and productivity initiatives while complying with HSSE plans.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HSSE requirements and ability to comply fully.
• Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary, collaborative environment.
• Ability to assess and improve working practices and systems.
• Proven capability to manage construction and completion activities.
