Lead Construction Engineer (Offshore Platform)

About the role

The Lead Construction Engineer will oversee full‑cycle offshore construction for mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation disciplines on multiple platforms. The role reports to EPC management and acts as the senior authority for all on‑site activities, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and project KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute heavy‑lifting operations for compressors, dryers, pressure vessels, transformers, MCC/SWGR panels and skid packages.
• Supervise multidisciplinary crews (engineers, supervisors, technicians, riggers, welders, electricians, instrument fitters) and ensure safe, on‑time execution.
• Review and approve lifting studies, rigging plans, crane load charts, deck‑loading checks and engineered lifting procedures.
• Lead mechanical and piping installation, including equipment alignment, torquing, spool fit‑up, welding, NDT, hydro‑testing and system hand‑over.
• Coordinate electrical and instrumentation installation – cable pulling, termination, tray installation, SWGR/MCC placement, earthing, loop checking and calibration.
• Maintain strict HSE compliance (ADNOC lifting guidelines, LOLER, API RP 2D, PTW, LOTO, confined‑space and working‑at‑height certifications).

Required profile

• Minimum 15 + years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects with proven offshore construction expertise.
• Hands‑on experience on ADNOC offshore brownfield platforms and familiarity with ADNOC standards and procedures.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, able to direct large, multi‑discipline crews under schedule pressure.
• Ability to resolve constructability issues, manage SIMOPS, and ensure mechanical completion, RFC and RFSU milestones.
