Lead Ground Improvement Engineer (PMC)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Lead Ground Improvement Engineer to join the Project Management Consultant (PMC) team for an ADNOC project in Abu Dhabi. The role is full‑time on‑site at the client’s office and focuses on overseeing all ground improvement works carried out by contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve contractor ground improvement plans and methods.
• Monitor execution to ensure compliance with project specifications, design requirements and international standards.
• Coordinate with the client, design team and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Track progress against schedule, quality and safety targets.
• Prepare reports and documentation for the PMC and client.

Required profile

• Proven experience in ground improvement and geotechnical engineering on large oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, quality assurance and safety procedures.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractor performance.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
